Fake on ebay.de ?

I just saw this plate in an ebay auction in Germany. This plate was mentioned as a fake in the Richter article about military missions (see here: http://europlate.org.uk/archives/Germany-Missions.pdf ). A photo of this plate is on page 25 of this article. You will see that the holes are at the same places, but the plate on ebay looks now much more used.USAREUR

    In my opinion this plate is a fake. It purports to be a plate issued to the SOXMIS bureau in the American Zone of Germany. However, the font and spacing of type do not align with previous plates I have seen.
